Wow what a turn out for this litter pick, over fifty people attended, including school children, elderly gardeners, seasoned litter pickers and new members of the public all wanting to make a difference and tidy up their community.
On such a cold and windy day Plastic Free Chard group were blown away at how many people came along.
More importantly,over 35 sacks of rubbish was collected from the centre of Chard. Along with 22 sacks Tim Eggins collected earlier in the week that’s a massive 57 sacks of rubbish that has been saved from going to landfill or floating down our streams and rivers into the sea. Well done Chard!
Next Litter Chard litter pick is set for Saturday 21st March from 10am.
