Welcome to the South Somerset Greens

Our area covers the entire Yeovil Parliamentary Constituency including the towns of Yeovil, Crewkerne, Chard and Ilminster. This constituency is sizeable and quite rural, measuring around 30 miles across and made up of lots of beautiful Somerset villages and thriving small communities. We have an electorate of around 83,000 people, who have been represented in Parliament by Marcus Fysh MP (Conservative) since 2015. Previously elections have been dominated by the Liberal Democrats, most famously Paddy Ashdown MP from 1983 to 2001.

The South Somerset Green Party is very active, meeting every month at venues throughout the constituency, and organising social events. We are an enthusiastic, friendly group of people from many different backgrounds who put the environment at the centre of everything we do. A ‘Green Surge’ is happening here in Somerset – our numbers are growing and we are developing new initiatives all the time.
